21 September 2004 – Global Answers become first accredited CLP trainer

 

The Institute of Localisation Professionals (TILP) today announced that Global Answers have been listed as the first accredited Training provider for their newly launched Certified Localisation Professional programme.

 

Reinhard Schaeler, CEO of the Institute of Localisation Professionals, speaking at the 9^th Annual Localisation Conference in the University of Limerick (Ireland) announced the news as part of the launch of the Certified Localisation Professional Programme.

May 13th 2004 – Global Answers at the 4th International LRC Summer School (May 31-June 4)
Global Answers showcase services to Educators, Deliver workshops to Summer School participants.
Dublin, Ireland, May 13th 2004 - Global Answers are delighted to announce participation in the 4th International Summer School run by the Localisation Research Centre, in Limerick, Ireland, from June 1 – June 4.
The Localisation Summer School is a hands on set of sessions over four days, includes courses run by localisation professionals and takes part in the state-of-the-art facilities of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Limerick, home of the LRC.

In conjunction with Alchemy Software Development, Global Answers will facilitate a day-and-a-half of hands on workshops in Advanced Alchemy Catalyst, including handling multiple file formats, managing datasources, ezParse Technology and much more.

New start-up to provide leading edge technology training and services to the localization sector.
Dublin, Ireland, January 20th, 2004 — Global Answers is delighted to announce the launch of a comprehensive set of training and consultancy services to the localization sector.
Global Answers is formed by Siobhan King-Hughes and Cian Hughes, to provide a package of professional training and services to the industry.
Siobhan King-Hughes, Managing Director has over 14 years localization experience Siobhan’s localization career began with Microsoft where she held positions in documentation, technical support and in development. She moved on to hold key positions in Engineering Management, Project Management, and Localization Management for other world leading blue-chip companies including: Frame Technology, IBM, Oracle and, most recently, Head of Localization for AOL.
Cian Hughes, Director of Consultancy Services, has over 15 years experience in the localization and hi-tech industries. Cian has held key positions in General management and Localization Management with some of the world’s leading organizations (IBM, Intel, ITP/SDL) and has managed the start-up of a number of successful US companies in Ireland (Metacreations/Viewpoint, Pivotal). Cian now operates as an executive consultant where he specializes in Business Management, Operations Management and new business startup.
